Potenza, 15.12.2021

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are very glad to announce the opening of the registration to the 10th International Congress of Tidal Sedimentology, which will be held in Matera, southern Italy, from 3rd to 5th of May 2022. Tidalites 2022 will take place in the hypogean Auditorium ‘R. Gervasio’ in the heart of the ancient ’Sassi’, and it will be conducted in hybrid mode (in-person, as well as with the possibility for live streaming). Oral and poster sessions during the three days of the congress will be opened by keynotes provided by world-known leading-edge researchers (names will be announced soon), who will present the latest scientific breakthrough about the role that Tidal Sedimentology plays in the fields of Energy, Environment, and Climate, the three macro-themes of Tidalites 2022.

Attached, please find the circular containing all the details about the scientific themes of the congress, instruction on how to register and submit an abstract, logistics and sponsorships. Among the novelties of Tidalites 2022, the field trip panel has been enriched with a seventh excursion that makes the variety of selectable options pretty large.

Please, take a look at the summary video below this message for an overview on the pre- and post-congress geological field trips of Tidalites 2022.

Importantly: we are aware about the limitations imposed by the new Covid-19 diffusion. Tidalites 2022 will constantly be updated on mandatory restrictions and requirements set for people coming from foreign countries, according to their country of origin. We then will follow the guidelines imposed for congress activities as indicated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (more info in the circular).

The costs of the congress fee, field trips and associated activities are indicated in the Registration Form linked in the Tidalites 2022 website www.tidalites.com/2022.
For more information, please contact the Tidalites 2022 Secretary at: info@tidalites.com.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Italy next spring!
